All dogs should be 14 months or over to run the full agility course and need to be 18 months or over to enter competitions.
Younger dogs can join the club and start to get used to the more basic equipment and join the fun.
Dogs must wear an ordinary collar for training, no check chains are allowed.
The following basic obedience is required:
Basic Recall including commands such as
"SIT"
"WAIT"
For example: "STEADY or WAIT" for the middle of SEESAW and contact points.
The following are suggested commands for use when using the equipment.
"JUMP or OVER"
"A FRAME"
"TYRE or THROUGH"
"TUNNEL or THROUGH"
"LONG JUMP" or "UP AND OVER"
"DOG WALK" or "WALK ON"
"TABLE" or "UP"
It is also useful to start teaching your dog 'left' and 'right', you can do this whilst at home, or out for your daily walk.
